Shares power from the Toyota Safety Sense lane-trace assist computer near the mirror base. Works on all 2019–2024 Camry trims — even base trims without an auto-dimming mirror. The most universal 2019–2024 connection.
🔋 5-Pin Type C
A connector unique to Camry hybrid models (2021+) and 2025+ gas models. Provides clean, dedicated power independent of the mirror. Located near the overhead area.
🛡️ TSS 3.0 Computer
The updated 16-pin TSS 3.0 connector found on 2025+ Camry Hybrid trims and 2026+ across more configurations. Shares power from the latest-gen Toyota Safety Sense module.
How to Install
Mirror Install (DCA-10B) — XLE / XSE Trims
- Tilt your rearview mirror down and remove the plastic mirror shroud
- Locate the 10-pin mirror connector underneath the plastic mirror shroud — NOT the nearby TSS connector
- Unplug the mirror harness
- Plug the Dongar adapter inline between the harness and mirror
- Route the USB-C cable behind the headliner to your dash cam
- Replace the shroud — done
TSS Install (DCA-12T / DCA-16T)
- Tilt the rearview mirror and remove the plastic shroud covering the mirror base area
- Locate the TSS lane-trace computer connector (12-pin on 2019–2024, 16-pin on 2025+) — separate from the mirror connector
- Unplug the TSS harness
- Plug the Dongar adapter inline
- Route the USB-C cable to your dash cam
- Replace the shroud — done
5-Pin Type C Install (DCA-5C)
- Locate the 5-pin Type C connector near the overhead area (Camry hybrids 2021+, gas models 2025+)
- Plug the Dongar adapter into the connector
- Route the USB-C cable to your dash cam
- Tuck any excess cable behind the headliner — done

The Dongar PRO outputs true 18W USB-C (5V/9V/12V) and works with virtually all USB-C powered dash cams. Garmin Mini 2/Mini 3 and Rove R2-4K Pro work great with both PRO and PRO+. Viofo and RedTiger cameras have non-standard USB-C — the PRO will keep them recording, but for proper parking mode detection, the PRO+ is recommended (it has dedicated 5V always-on + Parking Mode CC settings). BlackVue and Thinkware use DC barrel plugs — special cables are in development.
Does the Camry Hybrid work differently with Dongar PRO for parking mode?
The Camry Hybrid doesn't rely on the 12V battery to start the engine — the high-voltage hybrid system handles that. So the 12V battery can tolerate more drain for dash cam parking mode without risk of a no-start.
