Our Mission
At Dongar we believe that with the right equipment and accountability on all sides, the time spent in your car can be fun, enjoyable, and above all, safe. Join us in our effort to make safe driving more accessible.

Our story
Dongar's journey began in 2008 with a reckless semi-truck colliding into young Kevin's car...and totaling it. While Kevin was lucky enough to remain unscathed, his car certainly wasn't, and law enforcement was brought to the scene. At that point it was just one driver's word against the other's, and we know how that story goes.
Fast forward a few years and a handful of beater cars and motorcycles later, Kevin could finally treat himself to a new set of wheels – eager to protect both himself and his new ride, he immediately purchased a dash cam. However, opening the dash cam box revealed a disappointing sight: a long mess of cables permanently affixed to a 'cigarette lighter' style adapter. Unwilling to ruin the aesthetic of his new car, and faced with the headache of a cumbersome installation process, Kevin took matters into his own hands – he created a small, easy-to-install, and nearly invisible adapter to power his dash cam, and Dongar was born.
Now run by a small team in the Bay Area, Dongar manufactures plug & play dash cam adapters for hundreds of different car models. From our home town to cities across the globe, we're dedicated to providing solutions that seamlessly integrate into your vehicle, offering both peace of mind and aesthetic appeal.
