2023 Subaru Crosstrek Installation

Items Needed:

Make sure the vehicle is turned OFF.
Tilt the rearview mirror pointing down.
Remove inner trim piece using the plastic trim removal tool. Please be mindful of tabs when prying trim piece off.
With the panel off, locate and remove the two 8mm hex bolts.
With the bolts out, we can now take the large panel off. Use the pry tool to unhinge the tabs and work your way around the perimeter. Do not attempt to pull down on this assembly.

Note: There are 4 connectors still attached to the assembly. This does not need to be disconnected, but can be if more room is needed.
Locate the connector in the right-hand side of the cavity.
Unclip the connector by pushing down on the tab and pulling straight out.
Install Dongar Technologies adapter into connector port. This vehicle requires a 5-pin Type E Dongar adapter.
Connect USB cable to the adapter and route other end of USB cable to your dash cam.
Turn vehicle ON and ensure your device is receiving power.
Turn vehicle OFF. Tidy up cables and reverse the order of operation to complete this installation!
