Giving this a three star rating for a couple of factors:
1. The instructions for install were not correct for my model of Subaru (2020 WRX) and you can tell that Dongar has not done their homework on all models of cars and assume in their directions that all Subaru models are the same. I will acknowledge that the ‘’16-‘21 WRX is an outlier in Subaru’s lineup by being the only model that isn’t built on their “Global” platform and a little research on Dongar’s part would’ve gone a long way towards making good instructions. Luckily it is not hard to figure out on your own if you’ve ever done any basic vehicle modifications.
2. The cable from the harness to the Dongar adapter itself is fairly short and I would like to see them add a couple inches, something that also would have been obvious had Dongar done make/model specific testing instead of assuming it will work. The cable was barely long enough to be able to hide under the factory cable cover to the mirror and due to this, I had to mount in a less than desired position.
Otherwise I think this is a great product and the build quality seems excellent. Hopefully Dongar will listen to this feedback as both negative points can be resolved by doing more vehicle model specific research and/or testing.
