It works!!

very easy to install works will keeps hardwiring to a minimum. wis i new about this years ago. will never install dash cam without this adapter ever again.

The biggest takeaway from this review is that the documentation Dongar provided was excellent, from both a product selection and install perspective.

For my 2020 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Reserve, the connector selection guide was helpful and accurate (although I also verified the connector with pictures first).
The install probably took 15 minutes and worked perfectly as described (my dashcam powers on and off with the mirror dimming power, and doesn't use the always-on power that the garage door buttons use). The suggested short USB cable pack fit my needs perfectly and really cleaned up the install. I ended up sticking the USB brick to the mirror mount cover instead of the windshield. Cables were all of appropriate length, and it was so much easier and cleaner than running a fuse tap to a power module and routing that up the A-pillar and around the windshield. I would gladly order from here again.
