Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Installation

Items Needed:

Tilt the mirror down for better access to the plastic wire cover.
Pull straight down on the smaller piece from the top. The smaller panel is held up by 2 clips. For the bigger panel, simply push down and away, and it should just pop right off. This is the connector you need access to – press up on the tab and gently pull it out of the connector port.
Plug the Dongar adapter into the port and plug the original connector into the female end of the Dongar adapter. Make sure that everything clicks into place properly.
Turn on the vehicle to ensure the unit is receiving power (you should see a blue LED light up within the module).
Once you have confirmed the unit is receiving power, plug one end of the USB cable into the Dongar module and the other end into your dash cam. Ensure your dash cam turns on.
When you have ensured power is running and all cables are connected, tidy up the cables and re-assemble the wire cover. Mount your dash cam.
