Installation with the adapter was quick and flawless. Images are fantastic and for a no frills camera, is perfect for my needs. Setting up the camera with the Drive app, on the other hand, was riddled with irritations that shouldn't be an issue.
The app's insistence on being connected to a WiFi network, even when tethered to a phone using a hotspot connection is beyond irritating. The app's refusal to connect while using any type of ad blocker or VPN is infuriating. There's absolutely no reason to refuse to connect, especially when the camera is connected via a hotspot connection. Initial access to saved videos only being allowed from the app is another irritant. There should be an alternative means, especially from a computer.
5 stars for the camera and adapater! 1 star for the Garmin Drive app that requires a user to turn off what I consider essential security protocols in order to use the camera to its full potential.
Easy install,everything was included! Took me about 15-20 minutes tops.
Haven’t had it long however it seems to function very. The size is very small and almost unnoticeable. The wiring kit from Dongar makes it very simple to connect.
