Compatible with all auto-dimming mirrors (including both Homelink® and non-Homelink® auto-dimming mirrors) in Gen 3 Toyota Tacomas from 2016-2019 and Homelink® auto-dimming mirrors only on Gen 3 Toyota Tacomas from 2020-2023.
Please note this adapter is not compatible with non-Homelink® mirrors found on Tacomas from 2020-2023.

Doesn't power up the unit

Thanks for your feedback: this product is normally unlisted and is intended to be recommended by the Dongar team to help figure out compatibility. We recommend anyone looking at this listing and review to reach out to Dongar support FIRST before purchasing.
As you saw with your purchase, the 12-pin PRO adapter may not work in some trucks because it has specific compatibility. If your 3rd Gen Tacoma is from 2020-2023 and does NOT have a Homelink mirror, your mirror MAY NOT have constant power and therefore won't power your Dongar PRO. If your 3rd Gen Tacoma is 2016-2019 and does NOT have a HomeLink mirror, the 12-pin adapter MAY be able to power your Dongar PRO.
If your 3rd Gen Tacoma has a HomeLink mirror, then the 12-pin PRO adapter will get your PRO adapter to work, regardless of year.
And needless to say, but just in case: if you intended to use this adapter to power the Dongar PRO in anything other than a 3rd Gen Tacoma, then this won't be guaranteed to power your Dongar PRO.
So due to Toyota's inconsistency with how this mirror is powered in Gen 3 Tacomas, anyone interested in buying this unit then is highly advised to reach out to us directly first.
